U.S. 422 West Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Pavement Restoration in Montgomery County

​King of Prussia, PA – Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled next week on westbound U.S. 422 as part of a project to repair and resurface 50 miles of state highway in Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Tuesday, September 4, through Thursday, September 6, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Oaks (Egypt Road) interchanges in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, for concrete patching operations; and
  • Friday, September 7, and Saturday, September 8, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Oaks (Egypt Road) interchanges in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, for concrete patching operations.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

As part of this improvement project, U.S. 422 will be resurfaced in both directions from just east of the Route 29 (Collegeville Road) Interchange to west of the Route 363 (Trooper Road) Interchange in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships.

State highways completed under this resurfacing project include:

  • Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Green Hill Road and Mara Drive in Worcester and Whitpain townships;
  • Route 113 (Bridge Road) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Skippack and Perkiomen townships;
  • Ridge Pike between Crosskeys Road and Route 29 (First Avenue) in Lower Providence Township and Collegeville Borough; and
  • Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Ridge Pike/Main Street and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Collegeville Borough and Perkiomen Township.

Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:

  • Greenwood Avenue between Main Street and Wartman Road in Upper Providence and Perkiomen townships;
    • Route 73 (Church Road) between Bethlehem Pike and Panther Road in Whitemarsh, Springfield and Cheltenham townships;
  • Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Tennis Avenue and County Line Road in Horsham and Montgomery townships;
  • Byberry Road from Philmont Avenue to just west of Reading Way in Lower Moreland Township;
  • Red Lion Road between Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) and Route 63 (Philmont Avenue) in Lower Moreland Township;
  • Stenton Avenue from Paper Mill Road to the bridge over Paper Mill Run in Springfield Township;
  • Elm Street between Fayette Street and Colwell Lane in Conshohocken Borough;
  • Upper Gulph Road/Old Gulph Road/Spring Mill Road between County Line Road and Route 320 (Montgomery Avenue) in Upper Merion and Lower Merion townships;
  • Spring Mill Road between Old Gulph Road/Spring Mill Road and Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) in Lower Merion Township;
  • Wynnewood Road between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough;
  • Hollow Road between Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) and River Road in Lower Merion Township;
  • Kenas Road between Route 463 (Horsham Road) and County Line Road in Montgomery Township;
  • Blair Mill Road between Route 63 (Welsh Road) and County Line Road in Horsham and Upper Moreland townships;
  • Militia Hill Road between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Butler Pike in Whitemarsh Township; and
  • Main Street between Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Forrest Avenue in West Norriton and Lower Providence townships.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Allan Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the $13,260,444 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.

Work on the project is expected to be completed in late 2018.

King of Prussia, PA – Aqua Pennsylvania is planning weekday lane restrictions with flagging on Burmont Road between Marshall Road and Albemarle Avenue in Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, on Wednesday, September 5, through Friday, September 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. 

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. All activities are weather dependent. 

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Aqua Pennsylvania to Close Manchester Avenue/Rose Valley Road Weekdays for Water Main Improvement in Delaware County

King of Prussia, PA – Aqua Pennsylvania is planning to close Manchester Avenue between Baltimore Pike and Brookhaven Road in Media and Rose Valley boroughs and Upper Providence and Nether Providence townships, Delaware County, beginning Wednesday, September 19, for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. Weather permitting, the closure will be in place weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through early November.

During construction, Manchester Avenue motorists will be directed to use Baltimore Pike, Route 252 (Providence Road) and Brookhaven Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work area. 

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

King of Prussia, PA – Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) from south of Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) to north of Cornerstone Boulevard in Downingtown Borough and East Caln Township, on Tuesday, September 4, and Wednesday, September 5, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, for paving operations as part of an improvement project to repair and resurface 17 miles of state highway in Chester County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

State highway completed under this resurfacing project include:

  • Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between the Berks County line and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) in Elverson Borough, and West Nantmeal, East Nantmeal and West Vincent townships.

Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:

  • Dorlan Mill Road from Route 282 (Creek Road) to just north of Longfields Way in East Brandywine and Upper Uwchlan townships;
  • Route 29 (Main Street/Manavon Street/Starr Street/Bridge Street) between Pothouse Road and the Montgomery County line in Schuylkill Township and Phoenixville Borough; and
  • Route 345 (Pine Swamp Road) between Warwick Road and the Berks County line in Warwick Township.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Pennsylvania Avenue Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Traffic Signal Installations in Montgomery County

​King of Prussia, PA – Single lane closures are scheduled on Pennsylvania Avenue between Route 309 (Fort Washington Expressway) and Bethlehem Pike in Upper Dublin and Whitemarsh townships, Montgomery County, on Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for traffic signal installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is weather dependent.

Work under this improvement project is part of PennDOT's 'Green Light-Go' initiative, Pennsylvania's Municipal Signal Partnership Program designed to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals located in Pennsylvania.

The scope of work on this project includes the installation of fiber optic cables, and upgrading traffic signals at varying intersections.

Wampole – Miller of Conshohocken, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $1,558,716 improvement project which is financed with 50 percent state and 50 percent local funds. Construction on this improvement project is expected to be completed in summer 2019.

  • Route 320 (Sproul Road) between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and Clyde Road in Marple, Radnor and Haverford townships;
  • Eagle Road/Glendale Road between Springfield Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Springfield, Haverford and Marple townships;
  • Springfield Road between U.S. 13 (MacDade Boulevard) and Netherwood Drive/Colonial Park Drive in Aldan, Clifton Heights and Collingdale boroughs, and Springfield and Upper Darby townships;
  • Amosland Road/Holmes Road between U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) and MacDade Boulevard in Norwood Borough and Ridley Township;
  • Ridley Creek Road between Bishop Hollow Road/Barren Road and U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) in Upper Providence Township; and
  • Westtown Road from South Concord Road/Westtown Road to just north of Meadowcroft Road in Thornbury Township.

​King of Prussia, PA – Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways as part of an improvement project to repair and resurface 47 miles of state highway in Delaware County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Ellis Road/Ardmore Avenue between Lawrence Road and County Line Road in Haverford Township, for milling and paving;
  • Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Coopertown Road between Darby Road and College Avenue in Haverford Township, for milling and paving;
  • Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Steel Road between Burmont Road and Drexel Avenue in Haverford Township, for milling and paving; and
  • Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Old West Chester Pike from south of Hilltop Road to Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Haverford Township, for milling and paving.

  • Kerlin Street/Eighth Street between U.S. 13 (West 9th Street) and Main Street in the City of Chester and Upland Borough;

  • Bridgewater Road between Concord Road and Chester Creek Road in Aston Township and Brookhaven Borough.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
