ReadyMontco - Upper Merion Twp Alert

PennDOT announced that Aqua Pennsylvania will perform water main construction on Valley Forge Road in Upper Merion Township on Saturday, March 15.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Saturday, March 15, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) is scheduled to be closed and detoured between Colonial Springs Road and Route 252 (Valley Creek Road). During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 23 (Valley Forge Road/Nutt Road), Route 29 (Starr Street), Route 29 (Bridge Street), Egypt Road, U.S. 422, and Route 23 (Valley Forge Park Road/Gulph Road).

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Morris Road is closed between Lewis Lane and Penllyn Blue Bell Pike. This is due to down trees and wires. PECO is advised and barricades are placed. Please do your best to avoid the area in the meantime while crews are on location making repairs and clearing the roadway.
