Subject is believed to be alone inside a barricaded residence and has been observed by police. A SWAT vehicle has been seen in the area. Neighbors have been instructed to shelter in place. Police are attempting a peaceful resolution

Police have expanded the perimeter and called in Fire Police to direct traffic around the scene.
One resident on Michelle drive returned to the neighborhood and was safely escorted by police to their home.

Subject observed by police igniting a small amount of paper inside the residence. Fire Department is standing-by in the immediate area. SWAT to accompany the fire department entry if needed.

Police continue to observe subject lighting small amounts of paper on fire. Fire Department staged nearby ready to extinguish fire should it become necessary.

Subject has lit bed on fire. The fire department has entered the home with SWAT

Subject is believed to be in attic. Firefighters are working to extinguish a mattress that is on fire. Montgomery County Department of Public Safety dispatches "building fire."
