Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on I-76 and Market Street in
Philadelphia

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
lane restrictions will occur next week on Interstate 76 and Market Street
in
Philadelphia, for sign installations, bridge inspections, deck repairs and
surveys.
The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:
• Tuesday, April 26, through Thursday, April 28, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on westbound I-76 between Montgomery Drive (Exit
341) and U.S. 1 North (Exit 340B), for a sign installation;
• Tuesday, April 26, and Wednesday, April 27, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on westbound I-76 between Girard Avenue (Exit
342)
and Montgomery Drive (Exit 341), for a sign installation;
• Tuesday, April 26, through Thursday, April 28, from 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on eastbound I-76 between U.S. 1 South (Exit
339)
and U.S. 1 North (Exit 340B), for bridge deck repairs;
• Tuesday, April 26, through Thursday, April 28, from 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on Market Street over Interstate 95, for bridge
deck
repairs;
• Wednesday, April 27, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Girard Point Bridge, for an electrical
survey;
• Saturday, April 30, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, the right lane is schedule
to
close on eastbound I-76 between South Street (Exit 346A) and 28th Street
(Exit
346C), for a bridge inspection;
• Saturday, April 30, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, the right lane is schedule
to
close on westbound I-76 between University Avenue (Exit 346B) and South
Street
(Exit 346A), for a bridge inspection;
• Sunday, May 1, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, the right lane is schedule to
close
on eastbound I-76 between South Street (Exit 346A) and 28th Street (Exit
346B),
for a bridge inspection; and
• Sunday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, the right lane is schedule to
close
on westbound I-76 between University Avenue (Exit 346B) and South Street
(Exit
346A), for a bridge inspection.
Motorists should expect slow moving traffic and delays entering the work
zones.
