Meeting Planned for Route 663 (Layfield Road) Bridge Replacement
5/16/2016-KING OF PRUSSIA
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge
Replacement Project will begin next year in Montgomery County. Five bridges
are
being replaced under the project, with four beginning reconstructed in 2017
and
one in 2018.
The project contractor, Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) invites the
public to a meeting to view plans for the reconstruction of one of the
bridges
planned for replacement in the spring of 2017:
Bridge: Layfield Road (SR 663) over West Branch of the Perkiomen
Creek in Upper Hanover (JV-215)
Meeting: Upper Hanover Township Building, 1704 Pillsbury Road,
East
Greenville, PA 18041
When: Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 6 PM to 7 PM.
There will be a brief presentation about the project and then
representatives
of the contractor team and PennDOT will be available to answer questions.
The bridge replacements are part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, a
Public-Private Partnership (P3) between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone
Partners (PWKP) under which PWKP will finance, design, replace and maintain
the
bridges for 25 years. The P3 approach will allow PennDOT to replace the
bridges
more quickly while achieving significant savings and minimizing impact on
motorists.
