Chester County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced
today.
The work is part of the $63.3 million project to widen and reconstruct two
miles of U.S. 202 from north of Route 401 to U.S. 30, and rebuild and
improve
the Route 401 Interchange.
From 8:00 PM Friday, June 3, to 10:00 AM Saturday, June 4, U.S. 202 south

operation.
On Monday, June 6, through Thursday, June 9, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, and from 8:00 PM Friday, June 10, to 10:00 AM Saturday,
June

paving
and median barrier installation. The northbound left lane will be closed
during

In addition, Route 401 (Conestoga Road) is scheduled to be reduced to one
lane
in each direction at the U.S. 202 Interchange from 7:00 PM Friday, June 3,
to

intersection with Moores Road.

travelers
will be detoured over Phoenixville Pike during the weekend closure.
The following weekend, Route 401 (Conestoga Road) will once again be
restricted

10:00
AM Sunday, June 12, for the reconstruction of the north side of the

Route 401 (Conestoga Road) will be closed and detoured from 10:00 PM
Friday,
June 10, through 10:00 AM Sunday, June 12.
The construction schedules are dependent on the weather. If weather causes
the
cancellation of the planned reconstruction of the south side of the
intersection of Route 401 (Conestoga Road) and Moores Road, this work will
be
done the following weekend, June 10-12.
Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel and use extra
care
