PennDOT to Repair Several Roadways in Philadelphia Region

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
repairs are scheduled next week on several roads in the Philadelphia region
over the week for maintenance improvements.
The work scheduled is:
• On Saturday, August 27, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the two right lanes will
be
closed on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Broad Street
(Route
611) and Wissahickon Avenue in Philadelphia, for bridge joint repair;
• On Monday, August 29, and Tuesday, August 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
Darlington Road will be closed and detoured between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike)
and
Forge Road in Middletown Township, Delaware County, for the replacement of
a
deteriorated drainage pipe. Vehicles will be detoured over U.S 1 (Baltimore
Pike), Stoney Bank Road, Glen Mills Road/Sweetwater Road, and Valley Road;
• On Tuesday, August 30, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, the
eastbound Interstate 76 off ramp to 30th Street and the westbound
Interstate
676 ramp to 30th Street in Philadelphia, will be closed and detoured for
deck
repairs. Eastbound I-76 and westbound I-676 motorists will detour onto I-76
west to Girard Avenue to I-76 east to South Street, to 33rd Street, to
Market
Street to 30th Street in Philadelphia;
• On Tuesday, August 30, and Wednesday, August 31, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
one
lane will be closed on the eastbound and westbound Interstate 76 exit ramps
to
University Avenue in Philadelphia for milling;
• On Thursday, September 1, and Friday, September 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
the right lane will be closed on northbound Interstate 95 between Route 132
(Street Road) and Business Route 1 in Bristol and Bensalem townships, Bucks
County, for pavement repair.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these
construction zones.
