Lane Closures on U.S. 1 in Chester County for Bridge Deck Repair

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
the right lane will be closed on U.S. 1 between Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike
and
Glen Willow Road in London Grove Township, Chester County, on weekdays from
Monday, October 10, through Tuesday, October 25, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM,
for
bridge deck repairs.
This operation is part of PennDOT's $2.8 million project to repair bridge
decks
and seal joints on 33 bridges in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties
to
help preserve and maintain the bridges.
Eastern Highway Specialists Inc. of Wilmington, Del., is the general
contractor
on the $2,860,165 project that is financed with 100 percent state funds.
The
project is expected to finish by November.
