Travel Restrictions in Philadelphia Region for Bridge Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled on several state highways in
Philadelphia,
Bucks and Delaware counties for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania
Department
of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• On Monday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:30
PM,
the right lane will be closed on Interstate 95 north between Interstate 676
and
Girard Avenue in Philadelphia;
• On Monday, October 24, from 10:30 AM to 12:00, the right lane will be
closed
on I-95 south between I-676 and Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia;
• On Monday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed
on
Route 32 (River Road) between Route 212 (Durham Road) and Durham Street in
Durham Township, Bucks County;
• On Tuesday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed
on
South Park Road between Deer Run Road and Route 611 in Nockamixon Township,

Bucks County;
• On Wednesday, October 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be
closed on
Route 32 (River Road) between Stagecoach Road and Tinicum Creek Road in
Tinicum
Township, Bucks County;
• On Wednesday, October 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be

closed on I-95 south between Interstate 476 and Commodore Barry Bridge in
the
City of Chester, Delaware County;
• On Thursday, October 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed
on
Brownsville Road between Creek Road and Periwinkle Avenue in Lower
Southampton
and Middletown townships, Bucks County; and
• On Friday, October 28, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed on U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) north and south between Bensalem Boulevard
and
Cedar Avenue in Bensalem and Bristol townships, Bucks County.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
