Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways in Chester and
Montgomery Counties for Maintenance Operations

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Montgomery County, for various maintenance operations.

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

• Sunday, October 16, and Monday, October 17, from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM the
following morning, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 463 (Horsham
Road)
between Hartman Street and Lower State Road in Horsham Township, Montgomery

County, for paving;
• Monday, October 17, and Tuesday, October 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on southbound U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) between

Route 401 (Conestoga Road) and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in West Goshen
Township, Chester County, for a bridge inspection;
• Monday, October 17, through Wednesday, October 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
Birdell Road is scheduled to close between U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and
Hill
Road in Honey Brook Township, Chester County, for base repair. During
construction, Birdell Road motorists will be detoured over U.S. 322
(Horseshoe
Pike), Hibernia Road and Brandamore Road;
• Monday, October 17, through Wednesday, October 19, from 7:00 PM to 4:00
AM
the following morning, lane restrictions are scheduled on Germantown Pike
between Chemical Road and Interstate 476 in Plymouth Township, Montgomery
County, for paving;
• Monday, October 17, through Thursday, October 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound
Interstate 476 between U.S. 1 (City Avenue) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike
(I-276) in Lower Merion Township and West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery
County, for sweeping;
• Monday, October 17, through Thursday, October 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound
Interstate
76 between County Line Road and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) in Lower
Merion and Upper Merion townships and West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery

County, for sweeping;
• Tuesday, October 18, through Thursday, October 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane restrictions are scheduled on eastbound and westbound U.S. 30 between
Route 10 (Compass Road) and U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) in Sadsbury, Valley,

Caln, East Caln and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, for patching;
• Wednesday, October 19, and Thursday, October 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,

Gypsy Hill Road is scheduled to close between Brushtown Road and Evans Road
in
Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, for pipe installation. During
construction, Gypsy Hill Road motorists will be detoured over Brushtown
Road,
Sumneytown Pike and Evans Road;
• Thursday, October 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled on eastbound Route 352 (Sproul Road) between King Road and U.S.
30
(Lancaster Avenue) in East Goshen Township, Chester County, for paving;
• Thursday, October 20, and Friday, October 21, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 23 (Ridge Road) between Route 100
(Pottstown Pike) and Bertolet School Road in South Coventry and East
Vincent
townships, Chester County, for base repair;
• Thursday, October 20, and Friday, October 21, from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on Washington Lane between Route 63 (Moreland
Road)
and Terwood Road in Lower Moreland Township, Montgomery County, for paving;
and
• Saturday, October 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Pen-Ambler Road is
scheduled
to close between Spring Garden Street and Penllyn Blue Bell Pike in Lower
Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, for pipe replacement. During
construction,
Pen-Ambler Road motorists will be detoured over Spring Garden Street,
Morris
Road and Penllyn Blue Bell Pike.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

zones.
