Travel Restrictions on I-95 in Philadelphia for Bridge Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia for
bridge
inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today
announced.
Weather permitting, the work schedule is:
• On Wednesday, December 14, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane will
be
restricted on southbound I-95 by a slow moving operation between Broad
Street
(Route 611) and Enterprise Avenue; and
• On Wednesday, December 14, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the left lane will
be
restricted on northbound I-95 by a slow moving operation between Broad
Street
(Route 611) and the Walt Whitman Bridge.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.
