I-76 Travel Restrictions in Montgomery County for Bridge Inspection

Travel restrictions are scheduled on eastbound Interstate 76 at the U.S. 1
(City Avenue) Interchange in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, on
Tuesday, January 10, from 9:00 to 3:00 PM for a bridge inspection, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
The
work schedule is weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.
511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
