Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Three State Highways for Maintenance
Operations in Philadelphia Region

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
travel restrictions are scheduled next week on three state highways in the
Philadelphia region for bridge repair, tree removal and tree pruning
operations.
The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:
• On Sunday, February 26, through Friday, March 3, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
lane
restrictions are scheduled on Bryn Mawr Avenue between Malin Road and Hunt
Road
in Newtown Township, Delaware County, for tree removal. Traffic will be
controlled by flagging;
• On Wednesday, March 1, and Thursday, March 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a
lane
shift will be in place on the University Avenue ramp to Interstate 76 West
in
Philadelphia, for tree removal; and
• On Thursday, March 2, and Friday, March 3, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Marshallton Thorndale Road between Campus
Drive
and Buckingham Drive in West Bradford Township, Chester County. Traffic
will be
controlled by flagging;
The scheduled travel restriction is subject to change due to weather,
emergency, and traffic considerations. Motorists should reduce their
speeds
whenever traveling through designated work zones.
