The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM EST
Monday. The high wind watch is no longer in effect.
* Winds... northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph.
* Timing... the greatest potential for high winds will be late
tonight through about midday Monday. The winds will gradually
weaken Monday afternoon but strong gusts are still possible into
the evening hours.
* Impacts... strong winds may blow down limbs... trees... and power
lines. Scattered power outages are expected.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that very windy conditions are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Light-weight outdoor
objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans should be
secured.
