The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ is expecting light snow and ice to impact the region beginning tonight (March 17th) through Saturday night (March 18th).
Wintry precipitation is expected in portions of eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey overnight tonight through late Saturday night. Light snowfall will begin late tonight, but snowfall accumulations should be quite light (generally less than an inch). Snow transitions to freezing drizzle or light freezing rain Saturday morning and continues through the afternoon, then a switchover to light to moderate snow will occur by late afternoon and continue through the evening before diminishing overnight.
Hazards with this storm include light accumulating snow. At the current time snow totals forecast for Chester County are <1" for much of the county, up to 2"in the northern portions of the county.
Impacts:
• Accumulating snow Friday night into Saturday night.
• Potential for freezing of roads as temperatures fluctuate above and below 32 degrees F

• We will continue to monitor this event and provide additional information as it becomes available.
