PennDOT to Resurface 6.7 Miles of U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) in Bensalem and
Bristol Townships, Bucks County

3/16/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will start
construction
Thursday, March 23, on a $3 million project to resurface 6.7 miles of U.S.
13
(Bristol Pike) between the Philadelphia County line and Route 413 (Veterans

Highway) in Bensalem and Bristol townships, Bucks County. The project is
scheduled to be completed in summer 2017.

Beginning Thursday, March 23, through Thursday, March 30, from 7:00 PM to
5:00
AM, lane restrictions are scheduled weekdays on U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike)
between
Route 413 (Veterans Highway) and Newportville Road in Bristol Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zone.
The work schedule is dependent on the weather.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill off the existing roadway
surface and repave the highway with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal
the
roadway and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the
$3,057,798 project which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act
89,
the state's transportation plan.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
