Single lane closures are scheduled next week on U.S. 322 (Conchester
Highway)
in Upper Chichester Township, Delaware County, and Route 309 (Bethlehem
Pike)
in Montgomery Township, Montgomery County, for work related to a 2.7
million
project to install safety measures on state highways across the
Philadelphia
region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced
today.

The work schedule for next week is:

• Monday, April 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is
scheduled
on westbound U.S. 322 between Interstate 95 and Dutton Street, for sign and

delineator installations; and

• Tuesday, April 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is
scheduled
on northbound Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between Hartman Road and Stump
Road,
for delineator installations.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

In addition to signs and delineators, the project includes the installation
of
median barriers, guide rails, rumble strips and raised pavement markers on
various highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia
