Travel Restrictions Scheduled Thursday on Academy Road for Bridge
Inspection in Philadelphia

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Academy Road in Philadelphia for
bridge
inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced
today.

The work schedule is:

• Thursday, April 27, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on eastbound Academy Road between Frankford Avenue and Interstate 95;
and
• Thursday, April 27, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound Academy Road between I-95 and Frankford Avenue.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
area.
The schedule is dependent on the weather.

The inspection is part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
