Utility Companies to Restrict Several State Highways in Delaware and
Chester Counties

Aqua Pennsylvania and PECO Energy will restrict several state highways over
the
next two weeks in Delaware and Chester counties for utility work, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

• Monday, April 17, through Friday, April 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane

restrictions are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike)
between War Admiral Lane and Granite Drive in Middletown Township, Delaware

County, for water main installation. Traffic will be controlled by
flagging;
• Monday, April 17, through Friday, April 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane

restrictions are scheduled on Burmont Road at Friendship Road in Haverford
Township, Delaware County, for water main installation. Traffic will be
controlled by flagging;
• Tuesday, April 18, through Tuesday, April 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on State Road between Creek Road and Pothouse
Road
in Schuylkill Township, Chester County, for gas line installation. Traffic
will
be controlled by flagging; and
• Monday, April 24, through Monday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weekday

lane restrictions are scheduled on Bridge Street between Church Street and
Penn
Street in North Coventry Township, Chester County, for gas line
installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these
areas.

Aqua Pennsylvania and PECO Energy will complete the work under PennDOT
Highway
Occupancy Permits.
