Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Bridge Inspections in Montgomery County

Travel restrictions are scheduled for bridge inspections in Montgomery
County,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, July 10, and Tuesday, July 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right

lane is scheduled to close on westbound U.S. 422 between the Route 363
(Trooper
Road) and Egypt Road interchanges in West Norriton and Lower Providence
townships;
• Wednesday, July 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on eastbound Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) between Thompson Road and
Long
Mill Road in Upper Salford Township;
• Thursday, July 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on southbound Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Memorial Drive and
Delphi
Road in Lower Frederick Township; and
• Friday, July 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on southbound Route 29 (Main Street) between Buck Road and 11th
Street in
Pennsburg Borough.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the

weather.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
