Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on I-76, U.S. 1 and I-95 in
Montgomery County and Philadelphia for Electronic Sign Installations

Lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate 76, U.S. 1 (Roosevelt
Boulevard) and Interstate 95 in Montgomery County and Philadelphia for
installation of new electronic message signs, the Pennsylvania Department
of
Transportation announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday June 5, through Thursday, June 8, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, one lane will be closed on westbound I-76 between the
Belmont Avenue/Green Lane and Conshohocken interchanges in Lower Merion
Township and West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County;
• Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane
will be closed on the outer drive of northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt
Boulevard)
just north of Southampton Road in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, June 6, through Friday, June 9, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, two lanes will be closed on southbound I-95 between the
Betsy Ross Bridge and Allegheny Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, June 8, and Friday, June 9, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning, two lanes will be closed on northbound I-95 between the Academy
Road
and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, June 8, and Friday, June 9, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning, two lanes will be closed on northbound I-95 between the Bridge
Street
and Cottman Avenue (Route 73) interchanges in Philadelphia; and
• Thursday, June 8, and Friday, June 9, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning, two lanes will be closed on southbound I-95 between Cottman Avenue
(Route 73) and Bridge Street in Philadelphia.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of PennDOT's initiative to update Intelligent
Transportation
Systems (ITS) equipment on regional highways.
