PennDOT Reopens Route 313 (Dublin Pike) Culvert over Morris Run in Hilltown
Township, Bucks County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) this afternoon
reopened
the culvert carrying Route 313 (Dublin Pike) over Morris Run between Blue
School Road and Route 113 (Bedminster Road) in Hilltown Township, Bucks
County.
The bridge is no longer categorized as structurally deficient.

PennDOT's contractor began construction in March to replace the
structurally-deficient culvert with a new concrete arch culvert. Built in
1930,
the one-span concrete culvert is 10 feet long and 44 feet wide. The
structure
carries an average of 13,446 vehicles a day.

On June 1, PennDOT reopened the bridge carrying Route 313 (Dublin Pike)
over
Perkiomen Creek in Bedminster Township, Bucks County.

This culvert replacement and bridge rehabilitation project on Route 313
(Dublin
Pike) are part of PennDOT's $6.8 million project to rehabilitate five
structurally-deficient bridges in Bucks and Montgomery counties, three
structurally-deficient culverts in Bucks County, and to stabilize a stream
embankment at a bridge in Bucks County.

Work on the entire project is scheduled to be completed in late 2018.

Loftus Construction, Inc. of Cinnaminson, N.J., is the general contractor
on
this bridge improvement contract that is financed with 100 percent state
funds
through Act 89, Pennsylvania's transportation plan.
