Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Maintenance Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Montgomery, Chester and Delaware counties for maintenance operations, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, July 17, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Flourtown Road is scheduled to
close between Butler Pike and Joshua Road in Whitemarsh Township,
Montgomery
County for base repair. During construction, Flourtown Road motorists will
be
detoured over Butler Pike and Joshua Road;
• Monday, July 17, and Tuesday, July 18, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Johnson
Road
is scheduled to close between Belvoir Road and Plymouth Road in Plymouth
Township, Montgomery County for base repair. During construction, Johnson
Road
motorists will be detoured over Sandy Hill Road, Gallagher Road, Chemical
Road
and Germantown Pike;
• Monday, July 17, and Tuesday, July 18, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Plymouth
Road
is scheduled to close between Johnson Road and Sandy Hill Road in Plymouth
Township, Montgomery County. During construction, Plymouth Road motorists
will
be detoured over Sandy Hill Road, Gallagher Road, Chemical Road and
Germantown
Pike;
• Monday, July 17, and Tuesday, July 18, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on U.S. 322 (Brandywine
Avenue/Downingtown Pike) between Boot Road and Sugars Bridge Road in East
Caln
and West Bradford townships, Chester County for base repair;
• Monday, July 17, through Thursday, July 20, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 30 (Coatesville/Downingtown Bypass)
between
the Airport Road and Route 340 (Kings Highway) interchanges in Valley and
Caln
townships, Chester County for median stabilization;
• Monday, July 17, through Thursday, July 20, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, lane
closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 between Route 896 (Newark Road) and Route
41
(Gap Newport Pike) in London Grove, Penn and Lower Oxford townships,
Chester
County for shoulder work;
• Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 21, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on Route 401 (Conestoga Road)
between
Route 82 (Manor Road/Chestnut Street) and Route 345 (Bulltown Road) in East
Nantmeal and West Nantmeal townships, Chester County for crack sealing;
• Tuesday, July 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on the ramp from northbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) to U.S. 1 (Media
Bypass) in
Middletown Township, Delaware County for tree removal operations;
• Wednesday, July 19, and Thursday, July 20, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM,
Walton
Road is scheduled to close between Stenton Aenue and Route 73 (Skippack
Pike)
in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County for base repair. During
construction,
Walton Road motorists will be detoured over Stenton Avenue, Penllyn Blue
Bell
Pike and Route 73 (Skippack Pike); and
• Thursday, July 20, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Flinthill Road is scheduled
to
close between Route 320 (Swedeland Road) and Coates Lane/Jefferson Street
in
Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County for base repair. During
construction,
Flinthill Road motorists will be detoured over Swedeland Road, Jefferson
Street, Colbert Street, New Church Road and 4th Street.
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zones. Motorists are
advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because
slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities are
weather
dependent.
