Overnight Travel Restrictions Scheduled on I-476 and I-95 for Guide Rail
Repair in Delaware and Philadelphia Counties

Motorists will encounter overnight travel restrictions this week on
Interstate
476 and Interstate 95 in Delaware and Philadelphia counties, for guide rail
repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced
today.
The work schedule is:
• Wednesday, August 23, from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on southbound I-476 between the Route 3 (Broomall/Upper Darby)
and
U.S. 1 (Lima/Springfield) interchanges in Marple Township, Delaware County;
• Thursday, August 24, from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on southbound I-476 between the U.S. 1 and Baltimore Pike
(Media/Swarthmore) interchanges in Marple and Springfield townships,
Delaware
County;
• Thursday, August 24, from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM and again from 10:00 PM to
12:00
AM, a left lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-476 between the
Baltimore
Pike (Media/Swarthmore) and McDade Boulevard interchanges in Nether
Providence
and Ridley townships, Delaware County;
• Thursday, August 24, from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on southbound I-95 between the U.S. 322 West (West Chester) and
Chichester Avenue interchanges in Upper Chichester Township, Delaware
County;
and
• Thursday, August 24, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Bridge Street and Allegheny
Avenue/Castor Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia; and
• Friday, August 25, from 2:00 AM to 5:00 AM, a left lane closure is
scheduled
on northbound I-476 between the U.S. 1 and Route 3 (Broomall/Upper Darby)
interchanges in Marple Township, Delaware County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
