PECO Scheduled to Close Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in
Montgomery and Bucks Counties

PECO is scheduled to close several state highways for utility improvement
in
Montgomery and Bucks counties, for utility improvements, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, August 21, and Tuesday, August 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Washington Lane between Rydal
Road/Valley Road and Cox Road, in Abington Township, Montgomery County, for
gas
main installation;
• Monday, August 21, through Friday, August 25, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM,
U.S.
202 (DeKalb Street) is scheduled to close between Schuylkill Avenue and
Main
Street in Norristown, Montgomery County, for gas main installation. During
construction, U.S. 202 (DeKalb Street) motorists will be detoured over Main

Street and Markley Street; and
• Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
Old
Lincoln Highway is scheduled to close weekdays between Hulmeville Road and
Brownsville Road, in Middletown Township, Bucks County, for gas main
replacement. During construction, Old Lincoln Highway motorists will be
detoured over Brownsville Road, Bristol Road, Route 213 (Bridgetown
Pike/Maple
Avenue).

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone for all
closures.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
