SEPTA to Close Girard Avenue for Trolley Track Replacement in Philadelphia
8/3/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
SEPTA is planning to close Girard Avenue between Ridge Avenue and
Corinthian
Avenue in Philadelphia beginning Thursday, August 10, at 7:00 AM for
trolley
track replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced today. The work is expected to be completed in early September.
During construction, eastbound Girard Avenue motorists will be detoured
over
Poplar Street and Ridge Avenue. Westbound Girard Avenue motorists will be
detoured over Ridge Avenue and College Avenue.
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are
advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because
slowdowns
will occur during construction. All scheduled activities are weather
dependent.
