Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Maintenance Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
the
Philadelphia region for maintenance operations, the Pennsylvania Department
of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, August 28, and Tuesday, August 29, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Strasburg Road between Route 82
(Doe Run Road) and Brandywine Creek Road in East Fallowfield, Chester
County,
for base repair;
• Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
closures are scheduled on U.S. 422 West from just west of the Sanatoga
Interchange to the Armand Hammer Boulevard Interchange in Lower Pottsgrove
Township, Montgomery County, for concrete patching;
• Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
Wallingford Road is scheduled to close at Victoria Road in Springfield and
Nether Providence townships, Delaware County, for pipe repair. During
construction, Wallingford Road motorists will be detoured over Baltimore
Pike,
Turner Road and Rogers Lane; and
• Thursday, August 31, and Friday, September 1, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
Township Line Road is scheduled to close between Whitehall Road and Potshop
Road in East Norriton and Worcester townships, Montgomery County, for pipe
replacement. During construction, Township Line Road motorists will be
detoured
over Whitehall Road, Route 73 (Skippack Pike), Berks Road and Potshop Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone for all
closures.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
