Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways for Tree Removal
Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Daytime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state
highways
in the Philadelphia region, for tree removal operations, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, August 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging
are scheduled on Edge Hill Road between Overlook Avenue and Terwood Road in

Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County;
• Monday, August 28, through Wednesday, August 30, a right lane closure is
scheduled on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between 66th Street and 71st Street in
Lower
Merion Township, Montgomery County and Philadelphia;
• Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
a
right lane closure is scheduled on southbound Interstate 476 between the
Route
3 (West Chester Pike) and U.S. 1 interchanges in Haverford Township,
Delaware
County;
• Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
intermittent right lane closures are scheduled on westbound U.S. 30 from
the
Route 100 (Exton/West Chester) Interchange to just east of the Route 282
Interchange in West Whiteland Township, Chester County;
• Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 113 (Kimberton Road)
between
Pikeland Road and Hares Hill Road in West Pikeland and East Pikeland
townships,
Chester County; and
• Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Stenton Avenue between Militia
Hill
Road and Rogers Circle in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
