Travel Restrictions Scheduled for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia and
Montgomery Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Aramingo Avenue and Interstate 95 in
Philadelphia, and Route 309 in Montgomery County, for bridge inspections,
the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Wednesday, October 11, and Thursday, October 12, from 9:00 AM to 12:00
PM,
right and left lane closures are scheduled on northbound Aramingo Avenue
between Orthodox Street and Margaret Street in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, October 11, and Thursday, October 12, from 12:00 PM to 2:00
PM,
the right lane is scheduled to close on southbound I-95 between the Bridge
Street and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges in Philadelphia; and
• Monday, October 16, and Tuesday, October 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00PM,
right
and left lane closures are scheduled on northbound Route 309 at Church Road
in
Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur. All activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
