in Bucks County
11/2/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
Intermittent overnight lane closures are scheduled next week on northbound
and
southbound Interstate 95 between New Falls Road and the Yardley Newtown
Interchange for bridge construction and pavement marking installations as
part
of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of Interstate 95 in Bensalem,
Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95; and
• Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 in the
work
areas because backups and delays will occur. The contractor's schedule is
weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and
rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new
guide
rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge
deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95
corridor in Bucks County. The entire project is scheduled to be completed
in
fall 2018.
James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general
contractor on the $29,633,134 project, which is financed with 80 percent
federal and 20 percent state funds.
