I-95 Lane Closures, Ramp Restrictions Next Week for Construction in
Philadelphia

Motorists using Interstate 95 in Philadelphia will encounter overnight lane

closures and daytime and nighttime lane restrictions on several ramps for
construction related activities, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Sunday, December 10, through Saturday, December 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
periodical lane closures will be in place on the northbound I-95 on-and
off-ramps and the southbound I-95 off-ramp at the Cottman Avenue
Interchange
for line painting and inlet cleaning;

• Sunday, December 10, through Friday, December 15, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM
the
following morning, periodic lane restrictions will be in place on the ramp
from
northbound I-95 to the Betsy Ross Bridge, and on the ramp from the Betsy
Ross
Bridge to southbound I-95 for soil borings related to upcoming construction
at
the interchange; and

• Monday, December 11, through Friday, December 15, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM
the
following morning, alternating northbound and southbound lane closures will
be
in place at several locations between the Cottman Avenue (Route 73) and
Aramingo Avenue interchanges for soil borings related to upcoming
construction
at the Bridge Street Interchange.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 through the
work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
