I-95 North Ramp Closure, Traffic Stoppage Scheduled Next Sunday in Delaware
County
12/1/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
Northbound Interstate 95 motorists will encounter a ramp closure and
15-minute
traffic stoppage next Sunday, December 10, in Tinicum Township, Delaware
County, for high mast light removal, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Sunday, December 10, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the ramp from northbound
I-95
to eastbound Route 291 (Bartram Avenue) is scheduled to close. Motorists
will
be directed to continue north on I-95 North and take the Interstate 76/291
Interchange to access eastbound Route 291 (Bartram Avenue); and
• Sunday, December 10, from 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM, there will be a traffic
stoppage on northbound I-95 at the Route 291 East (Bartram Avenue)
Interchange.
In addition to the travel restrictions on I-95, there will be a 15-minute
traffic stoppage on westbound Route 291 (Governor Printz Boulevard) between
Scott Way and Stevens Drive on Sunday, December 10, from 11:30 AM to 11:45
AM.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and Route
291
through the work areas because slowdowns and backups will occur. All
scheduled
activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of a PennDOT project to repair and replace existing
highway
signs, bridge systems and high mast lighting systems on various highways in
the
Philadelphia region.
Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in July 2020.
MJ Electric, LLC., of Shoemakersville, Pa. is the general contractor on the
$6,792,501 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
