PECO to Restrict and Close Powell Road Weekdays for Utility Improvements in
Springfield Township, Delaware County

PECO is planning to restrict and close Powell Road beginning next week in
Springfield Township, Delaware County, for gas main installation, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Tuesday, January 2, through Friday, January 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
closures are scheduled on Powell Road between Springfield Road and Thomson
Avenue; and

• Monday, January, 8, through late May, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Powell
Road
will be closed and detoured weekdays between Springfield Road and Thomson
Avenue. During the weekday closure, Powell Road motorists will be directed
to
use Springfield Road, U.S. 1 (State Road), Route 320 (Sproul Road) and
Thomson
Avenue.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are
advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area. All
scheduled
activities are weather dependent.

PECO will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
