I-95, U.S. 13 Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Bridge
Inspections in Philadelphia and Bucks Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on Interstate 95 and U.S. 13
(Bristol Pike) in Philadelphia and Bucks counties for bridge inspections,
the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, January 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on southboound I-95 between the Broad Street and Route
291/Philadelphia International Airport interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, January 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Enterprise Avenue and Route
291/Philadelphia International Airport interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, Januray 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled in both directions on U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between Bensalem
Boulevard and Haunted Lane in Bensalem Township, Bucks County; and
• Wednesday, Janurary 24, through Friday, January 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
a left lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Enterprise
Avenue and Route 291/Philadelphia International Airport interchanges in
Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur. All activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
