U.S. 30, Route 309 Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Large Sign
Maintenance in Chester and Montgomery Counties

Daytime lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 30 and Route 309 in Chester and
Montgomery counties on Monday, January 8, through Friday, January 12, from
9:00
AM to 3:00 PM, for large sign maintenance, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• U.S. 30 between the Business U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) Interchange and
U.S.
202 North in West Whiteland Township, Chester County;
• U.S. 30 West on-ramp from U.S. 202 South in East Whiteland Township,
Chester
County;
• Route 309 between the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange and U.S. 202 in
Upper
Dublin and Lower Gwynedd townships, Montgomery County; and
• Route 309 between Cheltenham Avenue and Route 152 (Easton Road) in Upper
Dublin and Cheltenham townships, Montgomery County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is replacing and repairing large
sign
structures, including overhead signs throughout Bucks, Chester, Delaware,
Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in August 2019.
J. D. Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, Chester County is the general contractor on
the
$2,796,024 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
