Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia and Bucks Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Philadelphia and Bucks counties for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, February 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled in both directions on Interstate 95 between the Cottman
Avenue/Rhawn
Street and Woodhaven Road interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, February 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue/Rhawn Street and
Woodhaven Road interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, February 27, and Wednesday, February 28, from 8:00 AM to 4:00
PM,
lane restrictions are scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard)
between Borbeck Avenue and Tyson Avenue in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, February 27, and Wednesday, February 28, from 10:30 AM to 1:00
PM, a
left lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard)
between Tyson Avenue and Ryan Avenue in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, February 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Street Road and Bristol
interchanges
in Bensalem and Bristol townships, Bucks County;
• Thursday, March 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on southbound I-95 between the Bristol and Street Road interchanges in
Bensalem
and Bristol townships, Bucks County;
• Thursday, March 1, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a left lane closure is
scheduled
on northbound I-95 between the Broad Street/Pattison Avenue and Walt
Whitman
Bridge/Packer Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, March 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on southbound I-95 between the Walt Whitman Bridge/Packer Avenue and
Enterprise
Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia; and
• Friday, March 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is
scheduled
on Bordentown Road between Main Street and Dike Road in Falls Township,
Bucks
County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the
structures.
