I-95, U.S. 202 Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Large Sign Maintenance
in Philadelphia, Delaware and Chester Counties

Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Philadelphia
and Chester counties, including Interstate 95, for large sign maintenance,
the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, March 12, through Friday, March 16, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between
the
Route 611 (Broad Street) and Interstate 76 East/Packer Avenue interchanges
in
Philadelphia;
• Monday, March 12, through Friday, March 16, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, temporary lane closures are scheduled on northbound and
southbound I-95 at the Aramingo Avenue/Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange in
Philadelphia;
• Monday, March 12, through Friday, March 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and
9:00
PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures are scheduled on
northbound
I-95 between the Route 420 South (Wanamaker Avenue) and Route 291 West
(Island
Avenue) interchanges in Tinicum Township, Delaware County and Philadelphia;
and
• Monday, March 12, through Friday, March 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and
9:00
PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures are scheduled on
northbound
U.S. 202 between the West Valley Road Interchange and the U.S. 422 West
on-ramp
in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is replacing and repairing large
sign
structures, including overhead signs throughout Bucks, Chester, Delaware,
Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in August 2019.

J. D. Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, Chester County is the general contractor on
the
$2,796,024 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
