Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Bridge Inspections in Bucks, Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Bucks,
Philadelphia and Montgomery counties for bridge inspections, the
Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, March 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on northbound Interstate 95 at the Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) Interchange in

Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
• Monday, March 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on eastbound Interstate 76 between the South Street and 28th Street
interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Monday, March 26, through Wednesday, March 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a

right lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 202 (DeKalb Pike)
between
Main Street and 4th Street in Bridgeport Borough and Norristown, Montgomery

County;
• Tuesday, March 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on westbound I-76 between the Grays Ferry Avenue/University Avenue and
South
Street interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, March 28, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on the ramp from southbound Betsy Ross Bridge to I-95 South in
Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, March 28, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to I-95 South in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, March 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled
on westbound I-76 between the U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Lincoln
Drive/
Kelly Drive interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Friday, March 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled on
westbound I-76 between the Montgomery Drive/West River Drive and U.S. 1
South
(City Avenue) interchanges in Philadelphia; and
• Friday, March 30, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on eastbound I-76 between the U.S. 1 North (Roosevelt Boulevard) and
Montgomery
Drive/West River Drive interchanges in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the
structures.
