Route 611 (Old York Road) Daytime Lane Restrictions Next Week for
Resurfacing Operations in Montgomery County

4/13/2018-KING OF PRUSSIA

Weekday lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 611 (Old York Road) in
both
directions between Route 63 (Moreland Road) and Cheltenham Avenue in Upper
Moreland, Abington and Cheltenham townships and Jenkintown Borough,
Montgomery
County, on Monday, April 16, through Friday, April 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
for milling and paving of several SEPTA bus stop locations along this
corridor,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

zones because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's
schedule is dependent on the weather.

This is additional work on a pavement improvement project to repair and
resurface the entire 11-mile corridor of Route 611 (Easton Road/Old York
Road)
in Montgomery County. This project also included adjustments to utility
manholes and drainage inlets and the construction of ADA curb ramps. Work
on
the entire project is expected to be completed this spring.

James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia, PA is the general contractor on
this
$8,094,739 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act
89,
Pennsylvania's transportation plan.
