Columbus Boulevard/Lombard Circle Ramp to I-95 North to Close Next Thursday Night in Center City Philadelphia
King of Prussia, PA – The Columbus Boulevard/Lombard Circle ramp to Interstate 95 North in Center City Philadelphia is scheduled to close from 9:00 PM Thursday, July 5, to 5:00 AM Friday, July 6, for underpass lighting installation in the covered section of I-95 near Dock Street, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
During construction, motorists who normally use the ramp will be directed to travel south on Columbus Boulevard and follow signs to I-95 north.
Motorists are advised to allow more time for travel on Columbus Boulevard near the work area because backups and delays will occur. This operation is weather dependent.
In addition to installing a new underpass lighting system, PennDOT's contractor is reconstructing five pump stations in Philadelphia and Bristol Township, Bucks County. All work on this project is scheduled to be completed by December 2019.
PKF-Mark III, Inc. of Newtown, Bucks County is the general contractor on the $29,884,795 improvement project which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
