U.S. 1 Among Several State Highways to Be Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in Montgomery and Delaware Counties
King of Prussia, PA – Travel restrictions are scheduled on several state highways next week, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including U.S. 1, for tree trimming operations in Montgomery and Delaware counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, August 13, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Hill Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Swinging Bridge Road in Upper Hanover Township, Montgomery County;
- Monday, August 13 and Tuesday, August 14, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 from just South of the Baltimore Pike Interchange to Blackhorse Lane in Upper Providence Township;
- Tuesday, August 14, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Walton Road between Dundee Drive and Mallard Circle in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County;
- Wednesday, August 15, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Neiffer Road between Yerger Road and Bragg Road in Limerick Township, Montgomery County;
- Wednesday, August 15, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Wayne Avenue between Walnut Avenue and Poplar Avenue in Radnor Township, Delaware County;
- Thursday, August 16, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Conestoga Road between Lowrys Lane and Meadowood Road in Radnor Township, Delaware County;
Thursday, August 16, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 663 (King Street) between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Manatawny Street in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County; and - Friday, August 17, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Rose Tree Road between State Road and Sandy Bank Road in Upper Providence Township, Delaware County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur during these tree removal operations. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
