U.S. 1 North (Roosevelt Boulevard Extension) Among Several State Highways to Be Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on several state highways in Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery counties next week, including U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard), for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, October 1, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a temporary right lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) at the Wingohocking Street/Ninth Street Interchange in Philadelphia;
• Monday, October 1, through Friday, October 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Chestnut Ridge Road between Bridgeton Hill Road and Lodi Hill Road in Bridgeton Township, Bucks County; and
• Tuesday, October 2 and Wednesday, October 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Terwood Road and Valley Road in Lower Moreland Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur during these tree removal operations. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
