I-95, I-676 Among Several State Highways to Be Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspection in the Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on several state highways next week in the Philadelphia region, including Interstate 95 and Interstate 676, for bridge inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, October 8, through Friday, October 12, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, double lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 at the Route 132 (Street Road)/Bristol Pike and Route 413 interchanges in Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
- Tuesday, October 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on Park Road between Green Lane Rod and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Green Lane Borough, Montgomery County;
- Wednesday, October 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on Henry Avenue in both directions between Gates Street and Valley Avenue in Philadelphia;
- Thursday, October 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on Henry Avenue in both directions between Roxborough Avenue and Leverington Avenue in Philadelphia;
- Friday, October 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 off-ramp to the Philadelphia International Airport in Philadelphia; and
- Saturday, October 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-676 off-ramp to northbound I-95 in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
