Route 263 (York Road) Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Storm Sewer, Curb Replacement in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County

King of Prussia, PA – Daytime and nighttime lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 263 (York Road) between Fitzwatertown/Terwood Road and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County, on Sunday, October 14, through Saturday, October 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, for storm sewer and curb replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

This operation is in advance of the resurfacing of Route 263 (York Road) between Route 611 (Easton Road) and County Line Road in Upper Moreland Township and Hatboro Borough, which is scheduled to be completed in the fall.

This is additional work on a project to repair and resurface more than 13 miles of state highway in Montgomery County. The project also included the construction of ADA curb ramps, utility adjustments and other miscellaneous roadway maintenance.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the $6,175,308 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in the fall.
