Route 412, Route 413 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for ADA Curb Ramp Installation in Bucks County

​King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter temporary lane closures at several intersections on Monday, November 19, and Tuesday, November 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, as a part of a project to install 73 ADA curb ramps at 18 intersections in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule includes:

  • Route 412 (Durham Road) and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Nockamixon Township;
  • Route 412 (Durham Road) and Route 563 (Mountain View Drive) in Nockamixon Township;
  • Route 413 (Newtown Bypass) and Route 532 (Durham Road) in Newtown Township;
  • Route 532 (Durham Road) and Route 532 (Sycamore Street/ Washington Crossing) in Newtown Township;
  • Big Oak Road and Makefield Road in Lower Makefield Township;
  • Pennsylvania Avenue and Union Street in Morrisville Borough;
  • Big Oak Road and Trenton Avenue in Falls Township; and
  • Trenton Avenue and Plaza Boulevard in Falls Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

Additional intersections scheduled for ADA curb ramp installation include:

  • Route 32 (Delaware Avenue) and Letchworth Avenue in Yardley Borough;
  • Route 32 (Delaware Avenue) and College Avenue in Yardley Borough;
  • Route 413 (Newtown Bypass) and Newtown Langhorne Road in Newtown Township;
  • Route 513 (Bellevue Avenue) and Route 413 (Durham Road/Legrande Avenue) in Penndel Borough;
  • Route 513 (Bellevue Avenue) and Lincoln Highway in Penndel Borough;
  • Main Street and Reading Avenue in Yardley Borough;
  • Main Street and Letchworth Avenue in Yardley Borough;
  • Main Street and Afton Avenue in Yardley Borough;
  • Mirror Lake Road and Yardley Langhorne Road in Lower Makefield Township; and
  • Stony Hill Road and Cardinal Drive in Lower Makefield Township.

L.C. Costa Contractors, Inc. of Warminster, Bucks County, is the general contractor on the $711,453 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in early 2019.
