PennDOT - District 6 News: I-76, I-95, Broad Street Lane Closures Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia

I-76, I-95, Broad Street Lane Closures Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate 76, Interstate 95 and Broad Street (Route 611) in Philadelphia next week for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, December 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on northbound Broad Street (Route 611) between League Island Boulevard and Pattison Avenue;
  • Thursday, December 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the ramp from Enterprise Avenue to northbound I-95 will be reduced to one lane;
  • Thursday, December 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Island Avenue and Broad Street (Route 611) interchanges; and
  • Thursday, December 20 and Friday, December 21, from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the South Street and Interstate 676 interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
