U.S. 322, Route 32 Among Several State Highways Restricted for Bridge Cleaning in Delaware and Bucks Counties
King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter weekday lane closures with flagging on several state highways including U.S. 322 and Route 32 (River Road) in Delaware and Bucks counties beginning Monday, April 22, through Friday, May 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for bridge cleaning, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work locations include:
- U.S. 322 (Conchester Road) between Route 452 (Market Street) and Bethel Avenue in Upper Chichester and Concord townships, Delaware County;
- Route 32 (River Road) between Walnut Lane and Trails End Lane in Bridgeton Township, Bucks County;
- Route 611 (Easton Road) between Bristol Road and Route 332 (Almshouse Road) in Warrington and Doylestown townships, Bucks County;
- Bridgetown Pike between Route 413 (Langhorne Newtown Road) and Powderhorn Court in Middletown and Northampton townships, Bucks County;
- Bristol Road between Route 263 (York Road) and Valley Road in Warkwick Township, Bucks County;
- Worthington Mill Road between Swamp Road and Twinning Road in Wrightstown and Northampton townships, Bucks County;
- Big Oak Road/Township Line Road between Oxford Valley Road and Langhorne Yardley Road in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County;
- Upper Ridge Road between Trumbauersville Road and Nursery Road in Milford Township, Bucks County;
- Slifer Valley Road between Hickory Lane and Walnut Lane in Springfield Township, Bucks County;
- Main Street/Bethlehem Pike between Temple Avenue and Route 563 (Ridge Road) in Sellersville Borough, Bucks County;
- Covered Bridge Road between Thatcher Road and Richlandtown Road in Haycock and East Rockhill townships, Bucks County;
- Main Street between Route 313 (Swamp Road) and State Street in Doylestown Township, Bucks County; and
- Clifton Avenue between U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) and MacDade Boulevard in Sharon Hill Borough, Delaware Township.
Crews will restrict travel lanes on these state highways to pressure wash and clean bridges.
Motorists are advised expect slowdowns when driving through the work areas. All activities are weather dependent.
Under this regional improvement project, PennDOT is cleaning bridges in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. The project is expected to be completed in June 2019.
Titan Industrial Services, Inc., of Baltimore, Md. is the general contractor on the $2,440,000 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
