I-95 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia and Bucks Counties
King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in Philadelphia and Bucks counties including Interstate 95 in Philadelphia for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Tuesday, May 28, and Wednesday, May 29 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on Spring Garden Street between Eakins Oval and the Interstate 76 interchange in Philadelphia;
- Tuesday, May 28, and Wednesday, May 29 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive between Eakins Oval and Sweet Briar Drive in Philadelphia;
- Wednesday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on New Falls Road between Bensalem Boulevard and Newportville Road in Bensalem Township, Bucks County; and
- Saturday, June 1, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on I-95 between the I-76 and Broad Street/Pattison Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
