I-295 West, I-95 South Double Lane Closure at Night Next Week for Patching Operations in Bucks County
King of Prussia, PA – Westbound Interstate 295 and southbound Interstate 95 motorists in Bucks County will encounter right and center lane closures between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Academy Road interchanges on Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 2, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for concrete patching under a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The right lane on I-295 West and I-95 South will also remain closed during the day next week from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-295 and I-95 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the $29,522,204 project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.
