U.S. 202 Restrictions at Night Next Week for Construction in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA –  Lane closures will be in place in both directions on U.S. 202 between the Boot Road and Route 401 interchanges in East Whiteland and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, on Sunday, August 11, through Wednesday, August 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for various construction activities, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Crews will be moving temporary concrete barriers, painting traffic lines and installing guiderail as part of the final construction stage that is underway in the median area of U.S. 202.

The work is part of PennDOT's $26.4 million project to rehabilitate the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak and the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass ramp, repair the Morstein Road overpass near Boot Road, and replace the concrete pavement on the ramps to and from U.S. 202 and U.S. 30/Exton Bypass.

Allan A Myers, Inc. of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The entire project is expected to finish this fall. For more information, visit www.us202-300.com.
